I watched a short animated film - Pigeon impossible, by Martell Animations

I could tell it was a Spy themed movie. It starts in Washington D.C. where the theme song sounded like Mission Impossible. The spy has a bagel that a pigeon really wants and he couldn’t get it to go away and the pigeon gets stuck in the spy’s briefcase. The pigeon flies with the briefcase and presses buttons that shoot lasers. The spy’s mission is to get the briefcase back. In the end he manages to get his briefcase back from the pigeon.

I didn’t like the fact that some parts weren’t realistic such as when the pigeon was flying above the spy and he was waving his arms really close to it and the

Pigeon still didn’t fly away like most birds would.

I liked the part when the pigeon was stuck in the Spy’s briefcase because it pressed lots of buttons and the way the pigeon pressed them was funny.

I also liked the spy song at the start, it was like Mission Impossible and I could tell it was a spy themed movie.

I recommend to watch this short film because it was an interesting, animated story with cool sound effects.

Overall I liked this short film and would rate it 4 stars out of 5.

As I walked on the old and cracked concrete path I could hear the owls hooting while mosquito’s 

gathered around me. The night was dark and the stars lit up the night sky. I was surrounded by trees 

all sizes with long branches and crispy golden, brown leaves. Scattered dead leaves blew around in 

the mellow breeze. I could hear creatures in the bushes as their chirps echoed all around the forest. 

The night got darker and darker until it got pitch black, I turned my torch on and spotted something in 

the distance it was an oak log cabin, through the cabin window was a flickery light shining at the 

brown oak walls, the cabin roof was mossy and damp. It was like a mini house that had a rocking 

chair next to it that slowly swayed back and forth. All of a sudden the wind started screaming, the 

trees roared angrily and then the door of the cabin opened slowly as a faint shadow shot past me…

E.O.T.C recount

On Wednesday the 16th of March at Castor bay I felt so excited, I put my life jacket on and got ready to paddle through the sea. I was on the water and I started to paddle further and further. After a while everyone in my group, “Tiritiri” started to get the hang of paddling a kayak . It was a very hot day, I paddled as hard as I could and my arms got sore. We do E.O.T.C to learn things that we may not have known how to do before.

As I joyfully paddled my way across the sea from the corner of my eye I glanced at Rangitoto as it sat there in the sun doing nothing. I could see everyone on their colourful kayaks, the water glistening under the sunlight, paddles moving up then down and the small rippling waves. I could hear the waves lapping down quietly onto the shore, people talking and paddles splashing about. I smelt the saltiness of the sea and the stinky sand all throughout the beach. I felt the the bumps and rubber on the paddle, the cold water, soft, silky sand and the nose of the kayak. I tasted the excitement race around when my team won the netball game and I tasted salty sea water. I thought that it was fun and as if I were riding a smooth galloping horse. I was paddling,  pushing the kayak, talking and sitting on my kayak.

Bubbles

Bubbles is a round orange bird with two black tail feathers that are as dark as the pitch black night. Seated in the slingshot ready to blast off was Bubbles with his thick red eyebrows popping out of his head. His beak is a dark shade of yellow that stands out from his small orange body.

Bubbles´ability is to blow up like a balloon when you tap on the screen and when he's inside an enclosed space he expands. Bubbles is best at breaking wood and glass.

He's really cheerful and is as happy as a little girl getting a birthday present. Although bubbles is usually happy he can be quite cheeky too. He craves candy and would almost do anything just to get one bit of candy.  Bubbles is also really friendly because he's sometimes friends with King pig!

Pipe cleaner magic

Because I'm a house leader I led an activity for the whole class called pipe cleaner magic. It went well because some people worked well together and explained things.
